Alcohol Awareness Week this year is being held on the 5th - 10th October. The Moray Alcohol and Drug Partnership will be working along side Studio 8, Moray Council on Addiction, Young Persons Addiction Counselling, Grampian Fire and Rescue, Grampian Police and NHS Grampian to deliver a week of Alcohol Awareness Raising in Various venues in Elgin.
Where we will be:
Monday 5th October - Tescos, Elgin (Stand)
Tuesday 6th October - ASDA, Elgin (Stand)
Wednesday 7th October - The Moray Council Access Point (Stand)
Thursday 8th October - St Giles Shopping Centre, Elgin (Stand)
Friday 9th October - Dr Grays Hospital, Elgin (Stand)
Saturday 10th October - Plainstones, Elgin (Mobile Information Bus (MIB) and a Stand
On these days various members of the above services will attend the stand and talk to members of the public about sensible drinking, what is in a unit, how to cut down on your drinking, what services are available in the area etc. The Mobile Information Bus will also be on hand on the Saturday.
At the Mobile Information Bus you can access information and advice on all subjects of interest to young people today. This includes drugs and alcohol, sexual health and HIV, bullying and healthy eating. There is a lot to see and do. You can test your skills with games, challenge your mates with a quiz, watch DVDs, listen to music or just sit and chat with our experienced and friendly staff.
